BARK LIFE BEHAVIOUR & TRAINING

I’m Tim and I moved to London 16 years ago to pursue a career in hospitality. I worked in many of London’s top bars before leaving the bar to get behind the brands. As the Ambassador for Tanqueray Gin for many years, I developed global training programmes for bartenders and travelled Europe spreading the brand’s message and teaching people how to make amazing cocktails. I had an exciting and varied career within the alcohol industry but it was time for a change and to combine my communication and training skills with something which had long been my real passion, dogs! 

There’s never been a time in my life without having a dog by my side… Our Spaniel was around from day one and then I vividly remember bringing home our first puppy, a gorgeous Labrador called Cleo who went on to have her own litter, one of which we were lucky enough to keep and that’s where my fascination with dogs and how they behave started! I now live in West London with my wife and our two dogs, Gus and Elsie.

In 2019 my wife and I opened the doors to Bark Life UK, a home-based doggy day care, walking and boarding service. Bark Life UK has really grown and is not only a pleasure to call work but also allows me the privilege of working with a variety of so many wonderful dogs on a daily basis. This has been invaluable in developing my experience in training and behaviour alongside furthering my qualifications with the Clever Dog Company, run by international pet behaviour counsellor Sarah Whitehead. I am also a member of the Pet Industry Federation as well as Sarah Whitehead’s Inner Circle; a professional network of trainers and behaviour counsellors and a brilliant resource for further learning and development. 

I specialise in 1:1 dog training so that owners and their dogs have my undivided attention. I use positive, reward-based training, which involves only kind and scientific based methods. I’m fully insured, qualified in Canine First Aid and DBS checked so you can rest assured that your dog is in the safest hands.
